Loss of Wage Earning Capacity Evaluations
Lombardi Associates conducts a meticulous analysis of an individual’s access to the labor market, pre and post-injury. Facts are presented regarding an individual’s capacity for competitive employment, including job titles, actual job openings and salary range, objective data such as educational level, work history and current physical capabilities are utilized as part of assessment. Vocational Assessment is performed to determine future wage earning (potential of client within client’s geographic area). A systematic approach to making these determinations which are part of the 2012 NY Workers Compensation Permanency Guidelines. This is a very important component to settlement negations.
Vocational Placement / Job Placement Services
Educating clients regarding job seeking skills, rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the job search process, and how to overcome challenges / barriers to their reentry into the workforce. Provision of job leads weekly to client. Follow-up with potential employers to schedule interviews and to advocate for hire. Weekly contact with client to provide encouragement in the process. A well documented report of client participation is provided.
Labor Market Survey
For a comprehensive analysis of the actual jobs available a Labor Market Survey is used. This service involves Transferrable Skills Analysis of the injured worker’s background to determine career alternatives they are able to pursue. Employer contacts are made to confirm employment outlook and a report outlining the results.
Job seeking Readiness Tasks
Cover letter and Resume: Development of professional resume and cover letters for client to use for self-directed or vocational counselor directed job seeking. Vocational counselor taught interviewing techniques to assist injured workers with presenting their skills in the most effective manner.
TID (Total Industrial Disability) Assessment:
Comprehensive Vocational Assessment performed in response to a claim for Total Industrial Disability.
Transitional/Light Duty Assignment
Meet employer to assist in identifying light duty tasks based on medical release.

Job Lead Follow-up Services
Contact employers to verify client’s job search logs and advocate for interviews / hire. This can be utilized to verify job search activity when client has been sending job search logs to the adjuster.
A Vocational expert is an expert in the areas of vocational rehabilitation, vocational and earning capacity, lost earnings, cost of replacement labor and lost ability / time in performing household services. They perform evaluations for purposes of civil litigation, as an aspect of economic damages. Vocational experts identify what the person could have earned prior to the incident, compared to what they are likely to earn following the incident.
